Old Manchester Golf Club are in proud possession of three of the oldest golf medals in England, namely the Bannerman Gold Medal (1937), the Atherton Silver Medal (1842) and the Shaw Gold Medal (1843). There are only two golf medals in the country that were introduced at an earlier date and they belong to Royal Blackheath Golf Club. These are the Spring Gold Medal (1789) and the Summer Gold Medal (1823).
Other Club trophies include:
The Centenary Cup is considered the Club’s fourth major trophy but as a consequence of the First World War still on going, the Centenary was not actually celebrated until October 1919.
The Club Silver Challenge Bowl (1893). This handsome fluted bowl was bought and introduced by the Old Manchester Golf Club Council.
